The Old Retfordians Association has existed in various formats over the centuries.
In 2021, unable to identify an active association, a small number of ex-pupils sought to re-establish an ORA, including the establishment of this website. The Old Retfordians Association 2021 [ORA] aims to:
"maintain a spirit of comradeship" between "former pupils and staff of the King Edward VI Grammar School, Retford and the King Edwards School, Retford.
We have been able to do this by asking generous members to subscribe to support the website. We encourage everyone who has not yet done so to follow their example and donate.
In 2024 we now have 189 members spanning 7 decades (see below), and growing, and a smaller group of organisers
The chart below reflects the year each member joined the school, and remember not all pupils will have joined in the first form at age 11.
